The Marzo typeface family, designed by Ariel Di Lisio and digitized by Alejandro Paul, is an exercise in ontological reduction in type design. Its architecture is based on a monolinear stroke of constant thickness, which strips the letter of any superfluous ornamentation to achieve a state of natural purity. This approach moves away from traditional calligraphic variations, opting instead for an essential geometry that endows the typographic form with a definitive and timeless elegance. From an academic perspective, Marzo exemplifies the modernist ideal where form follows function, but with a contemporary sensibility that prioritizes visual harmony and the balance of negative spaces.
