It even has a touch of romance. Vala speaks with a resonant voice and knows no limits. The typeface enhances headlines, subheadings, covers, and printed packaging. The design also brings its distinctive blend of swagger and poise to banners, headings, navigation links, and branding on websites, blog posts, games, and apps. Oscar Guerrero was inspired to create Vala by the lettering in a shop window near his home in Bogotá, Colombia. “The capital letters A, R, and V caught my eye, and I photographed the window for reference,” he explains. “Later, I started drawing more letters inspired by those in the window.”
