The Candy Darling typeface, created by Miguel Reyes on commission by Richard Turley for Interview magazine in 2021, sits at the intersection of chaos and careful engineering, good and bad taste, and peep show style. It is named after one of Interview founder Andy Warhol's superstars. This typeface combines elements of neon and formal lettering, influenced by Doyald Young, with odd shapes and a wild set of flowery capitals. During its year at the magazine, Kurt Woerpel and Jack Vhay managed to enhance its look in surprising ways.
