Basile is the culmination of a process that began with learning cursive in a course at the Roballos-Naab studio. In that workshop, I developed a variation of the chancery script that was wider than its historical model. During the digitization process, the shapes were modified to capture a spirit similar to that of handwritten script, while keeping small text sizes in mind. Three sets of characters were also incorporated to expand the family: cursive, esdrújula, and esdrújula extra. Initial and terminal characters were also added.
