Note. Specimen of the typeface Bellissima Script. Copyright by Sudtipos.

The Bellissima Script typeface family represents a milestone in the visual archaeology of expansion calligraphy. Based on the treatise *Bellezas de la Caligrafía* (1844) by calligrapher Ramón Stirling, the typeface documents the introduction and refinement of the English model in 19th-century Spain. Unlike strictly academic versions, Bellissima employs a formal synthesis that refines Stirling’s ornamental exuberance to adapt it to the sensibilities of contemporary design. Awarded the Certificate of Excellence by Communication Arts, the work transcends historical revival to establish itself as an autonomous writing system, capable of reconciling the legacy of Latin pioneers with the technological demands of high-fidelity digital typography.
