The Viento typeface family is an exercise in evolution and formal synthesis based on the classic Brisa model. Conceived under the premise of an “aesthetic of speed,” the typeface captures the dynamism of a culture in constant motion through a deliberately rough and gestural stroke. From an academic perspective, Viento positions itself as a response to the demand for a more human and direct graphic style, where the imperfection of hand-drawn strokes becomes an asset of authenticity. Koziupa and Paul’s work transcends traditional calligraphy to offer a high-end tool that conveys messages with a casual and organic voice, ideal for contexts where proximity and reading speed are key factors in visual identity.
