Verpix is a serif font designed for on-screen text in regular and bold weights, as well as OpenType features (standard ligatures, discretionary ligatures, and old-style figures), thereby taking advantage of support for this format, which is becoming a web standard. Formally, it features serifs and strokes designed to distinguish it from most text-based pixel fonts—which are typically sans-serif—lending a certain humanistic touch to its technological nature.

Verpix includes a Super Pixel version, compatible with certain bitmap programs; this feature adds transparent pixels to curves and diagonals to smooth out the jagged effect caused by the screen’s pixel grid.
