Valedora is a display typeface inspired by the "Mexican Blackletter" street posters. The Mexican interpretation of the Blackletter, with its robust, irreverent and unpredictable forms, speaks of qualities inherent to Mexican culture: diversity and contrast. The goal of this typeface is to evoke that play of expression, strength and contrast, linking the manual reinterpretation of road signs with formal characteristics of Rotunda's gothic calligraphy and bringing it closer to a functional and contemporary typographic system.
