Elba is a typeface family created in 2016 in the Type@Cooper Condensed type design program offered by Cooper Union in New York, NY. It is a multipurpose sans serif that, despite its utilitarian conception, seeks to retain a warm and accessible character. Its strokes and stylistic characteristics refer to broad-tipped calligraphy, subtly alluding to humanistic typographic structures.
Elba was designed for applications that require optimal visual performance in open spaces. The family consists of 12 styles, ranging from Hairline to Black, available in Italic and Roman versions.
