Bi Neoindustrial is a custom-designed typeface family for Banco Industrial, with regional presence in several Latin American countries. Its development responds to the need to establish a solid and coherent visual identity through a versatile and technically robust institutional typeface. The family consists of 10 variants: five roman and five italic styles, organized in a range of weights that allow the rhythm and intonation of the text to be nuanced. Its sign system includes specific resources for international financial contexts, such as a wide coverage of currency symbols and multiple numeral styles - aligned to high case, low case, small caps and tabular - as well as frequent ligatures in Spanish. The Thin and Black weights were conceived for headlines, while the intermediate weights optimize readability in small bodies and large blocks of information. Its digital implementation includes manual ClearType hinting, which guarantees optimum typographic performance on screen, with more than 3,000 carefully adjusted signs.
