The typeface was designed with inspiration from Rudolf Koch's Kabel (1927), Rudolf Wolf's Memphis (1930) and Paul Renner's Futura (1927), with the aim of creating a geometric, elegant and slightly vintage typeface, especially suitable for titles. The designer sought to reflect the Swedish and other Scandinavian lifestyles, known for their good taste in design. During the design process, the designer was inspired by André Baldinger's New Universal Typeface "Newut", which resulted in a curious coincidence: as he finished the letter "z", he realized that he had unconsciously drawn it with similarities to Newut's style, even sharing a similar haircut. The height of the x is halfway between the baseline and the height of the capital letters, a unique feature compared to other modern typefaces. For the business sign, three alternative variants were designed and will be included in future versions of the typeface.
Its latest update in 2019, includes variable system.
