D.I.Y. Time is a hand-drawn typeface designed by Luciano and Coto, inspired by the DIY philosophy—a movement that has evolved into a global counterculture, defining new generations who value manual labor, pay attention to quality, the processes, and the materials used in the production of goods and objects—food, clothing, furniture, and more. This beautiful philosophy inspires us every day. It’s present in our homes and in our lifestyle, and this time we’ve given it form through a typeface family that blends different styles while unifying them through the language of craftsmanship. The result is a typeface based on hand-drawn lettering created with various brushes and markers on paper. It includes versions ranging from organic designs like “DIY time hand” to others based on Gill’s classic proportions, such as “DIY time sans.” It’s accompanied by a set of compound words designed with the needs of small-scale farmers in mind and a set of illustrated ornaments—everything you need to start creating your own.
