Lota Grotesque was designed by Daniel Hernández in collaboration with Rodrigo Fuenzalida and the Latinotype team for the digital edition. The typeface family is available in 7 weights with matching italics and includes alternative versions that offer great versatility and functionality. The entire typeface family consists of 4 subfamilies that share exactly the same number of characters and styles but differ in their programming and default characters. Lota Grotesque contains a character set of 760 characters compatible with 219 languages and includes alternative characters, discretionary ligatures, small caps, and a wide variety of numerals and fractions: a broad range of typographic tools to meet diverse design needs.
