Educal is a typeface family commissioned by Morphobranding as part of the process of redesigning its visual identity, under the creative direction of César Espinosa. It is a set of glyphs of a single weight -without variations in thickness- conceived to guarantee coherence and forcefulness in brand applications. Despite its uniformity of stroke, Educal incorporates a system of alternate characters that enriches the graphic expression: contextual ligatures and stylistic forms allow us to nuance headlines, isologotypes and promotional materials without sacrificing legibility.
The construction of the letters is based on balanced proportions and subtle modulations that make them easy to read in both printed and digital media. The characteristic features -clean terminals, clean contour lines and optimized interior spacing- give the family a solid corporate presence, capable of adapting to variable scales without losing clarity.
