Antorcha is a digital reinterpretation of the emblematic typographic identity of the Mexico 1968 Olympic Games. Conceived as a tribute, it faithfully reproduces the complex geometric system that visually defined that event. The font incorporates extensive OpenType programming and a large number of glyphs, allowing dynamic contextual combinations to be generated for both numbers and words. It includes multiple stylistic sets of alphabetic and numeric characters, designed to explore formal variations in contemporary visual applications. Antorcha reactivates an iconic graphic language from the current technological possibilities, preserving its playful, modular and deeply identifying spirit.
