Buker was born from a desire to create a modular typeface that could be used for vertical or horizontal writing. In the manner of Mayan glyphs. The result is a texture in blocks, where shapes and counterforms are blurred to create the letters and punctuation marks.
Starting from a square, the letters are created by insitions within the square to create angles, curves and protrusions. It is a decorative typeface. Ideal for creating typographic textures and can be used in short texts such as titles or in tapestry applications.
