ZINE was the first font designed for Macintóshico, a humor faxzine about Apple that I edited in 1992 with Heinar Maracy. A zine about the Mac couldn't be launched with just any font. As a last-minute idea, the ZINE font was designed in just 20 minutes. The glyphs were just one line thick, with no outline - something that only the old Type 3 font format could do.
