Bloem, is a revival text typeface that proudly showcases flourished serifs paired with subtle contrast bodies displayed along its round & wide features. These flamboyant serifs have bold ends which gives them a contemporary edge.
This revival typeface stems from Hollandsche Mediaeval, a typeface designed by Sjoerd Hendrik de Roos, a Dutch Designer in 1912. The name “bloem” roots from the Dutch language that means “flower”. This typeface displays its serifs in a freeing and expressive way, which made me think of flowers when they bloom and stretch their leaves and happily showcase who they are.
