We’ve cultivated a new flower in our Garden, but this time in a more emotional way, capturing its vibrations and using them to create a new hand-drawn typeface: “Bach,” a typographic system inspired by new lifestyle trends that seek to return to the basics and revalue ancient natural healing methods. Bach comes in two styles: a Serif font with 6 weights in regular and italic versions, and a Script font with 2 weights in regular and bold versions. It also includes ornaments. Bach Script is based on a set of calligraphic keywords (hand-drawn with a brush pen) and the Serif version of the typeface. This typeface is the perfect choice for labels, packaging, illustrated books, and posters. Return to nature and feel the vibration once again—this time with Bach! Bach is a design by Mendoza Vergara Studio, with Cecilia Mendoza collaborating on the digital edition, under the supervision of Luciano Vergara and Coto Mendoza. Located in Concepción, Chile, Los Andes was founded in 2011 by Daniel Hernández, Miguel Hernández, and Luciano Vergara as a spin-off of LatinoType. Their goal was simple: to create typefaces that would simplify the work of the designers who used them. The young type foundry released its first typeface, Pantano, that same year, and the rest, as they say, is history.
