Puuc is the name of the hills located in the south of the Mexican state of Yucatan, where the ancient Maya built the legendary cities of Uxmal, Labná, Edzná and Kabah, among others. The design of most of their buildings was made of repeated and modular pieces, which, when assembled, generated a fabulous decoration that archaeologists call "Puuc" style. Based on the same construction principles, Puuc is a typeface made of modular parts that combine into complete characters, giving rise to a design of strong personality, perfect for bold titles and headings.
