FF Santo Domingo was designed by Pablo Rovalo for Fuse magazine, a publication dedicated to experimental typography. This magazine was distributed in a package containing floppy disks and posters, and each issue was a monograph on a theme selected by Neville Brody and Jon Wozencroft. Designers were invited to create proposals based on the theme of the issue, with the aim of being used as a typographic archive. Neville Brody also designed a unique typeface for each issue. Fuse was published by Font Shop, where Neville Brody was a partner of Eric Spiekermann, under the brand name FontFont.
