Miguel's custom project was cancelled in the midst of a corporate reorganization. However, it was subsequently completed for Richard Turley's guest edit of Its Nice That in August 2022. Miguel's update builds on his experience with sign painting, resulting in a toning down of the animated baseline and greater ease of use in uppercase. Brush Script, originally designed by Robert E. Smith in 1942, was named after another Robert Smith.
