MxT Cerberus was developed as part of a branding project that would support a range of applications in both digital and print media.
The concept behind MxT Cerberus was to create a typeface that blended sans-serif elements with simple serif details, resulting in a clean structure with plenty of personality—perhaps slightly reminiscent of blackletter styles but with a more modern display application.
Two variants were developed—Regular and Bold—in an italic style, as the brand development defined this as the style to be expanded as the institutional typeface, given its uses in display and short texts. In addition, a very basic character set was developed, including uppercase letters, punctuation marks, and diacritics.
