Note. Specimen of the typeface Piel Script. Copyright by Sudtipos.

The genesis of Piel Script represents a paradigm shift in the practice of type design, shifting the focus from corporate branding to ontological identity. Born from the observation of users who sought fonts like Burgues Script as a means to commemorate life milestones on their own skin, Piel Script establishes itself as a formal response to the need for a typeface that can bear the emotional weight of a tattoo. Alejandro Paul proposes a calligraphic style that abandons the coldness of administrative documents to embrace the sinuousness of the skin. Academically, the typeface is a study of embodied typography, where the message ceases to be external information and becomes a biological and biographical component of the wearer.
