Typeface Designed by Daniel Hernández, Alfonso García, Bruno Jara Ahumada, and Luciano Vergara. Thanks to Pedro González for his contribution during the initial phase of the design process. Assemblage is a typeface—inspired by square Roman capitals—that comes in six different weights, ranging from light to black. The typeface’s structure makes it well-suited for branding, short texts, headlines, and complex layouts, thanks to its italic version. Unlike other conservative typefaces, Assemblage includes an italic version with a style based on the Elzeverian and Dutch Baroque typefaces, which gives the typeface an extra touch of elegance, resulting in a very pleasing design. The family was created specifically for labeling wine bottles and packaging in general. Assemblage is a typeface collection consisting of a sans-serif and an italic version with classic features. The family is available in 6 weights and includes ligatures, uppercase letters, and small caps, as well as 3 sets of smaller small caps for different types of typesetting. The italic version—with strong decorative features—includes hyphens. Assemblage also includes a set of dingbats, specially designed for both packaging and publications or branding. The sans serif version contains 979 characters, and the italic version, 620. Assemblage supports 212 different languages, and its OpenType features include ligatures, small cap figures, three sets of ornamental small caps (in the Sans version), hyphens, endforms, and alternates in the italic version.
