Shamgod is a bold, ultra-condensed typeface designed to exude speed and energy. Its sans-serif style, sharp diagonal cuts, and compact form capture the raw intensity of sports and urban culture from the 1990s and 2000s. With its expressive character, it’s perfect for eye-catching headlines, logos, and sports branding. Ideal for streetwear, digital design, and modern brands, it brings a strong, dynamic presence to any project. Whether used in posters, brand identities, or editorial designs, its striking visual impact makes it a powerful choice for those seeking a bold, contemporary aesthetic. Based in Concepción and Santiago, Chile, the founders of Latinotype state: “Our goal is to design new typefaces by blending diverse influences related to our South American identity with high-quality products for the contemporary design industry.” And the duo has been doing just that since founding their type foundry in 2007. Luciano Vergara and Daniel Hernández, whose foundry has been one of the most successful on MyFonts in recent years, have built a rapidly growing collection of typefaces across a wide range of styles. The group’s name, “Latinotype”—which specializes in vibrant, colorful typefaces—underscores the strong connection they feel to their cultural identity.
